Hallo Gernot,

EM- und STRONG-Elemete haben definitiv nichts mit Struktur zu tun.

doch, dabei ist es mir in dem Zusammenhang zwar ziemlich egal ob es Inhalt oder Struktur
genannt wird, aber das W3C schreibt hier auch von structural information.

Der Unterschied zwischen b und strong und das Thema "semantisch richtiges HTML" ist eigentlich
schon hinreichend durchgekaut worden, das Archiv sollte genug zu bieten haben, aber ich hab
doch mal beim W3C geschaut...

W3C z.B. bereits bei HTML 2:

The STRONG element indicates strong emphasis, typically rendered in bold. For example:
 <strong>STOP</strong>, or I'll say "<strong>STOP</strong>" again!

The B element indicates bold text. Where bold typography is unavailable, an alternative
 representation may be used.

W3C bei HTML 4:

Phrase elements add structural information to text fragments. The usual meanings of
 phrase elements are following:

EM:    Indicates emphasis.
 STRONG:  Indicates stronger emphasis.
