Ja: DirectoryIndex index.php
dann wird zwar die index.php genommen, das Problem ist aber, es soll index.php in der Adresszeile stehen
dann würde ich eher zum RedirectMatch greifen.
RedirectMatch ^/$ http://www.example.com/index.php
