Tach auch,
Ah, so you were refering to a general hate between those countries. I thought you found that in the French forum somewhere.
Even my dog knows about that. So a french forum scan was really not necessary. - If you know what I mean. :-)
Of course I know what you mean. But the way you had written it originally it sounded like you had based your statement on something you had read in the French forum.
Only I don't give a toss about what your dog knows. Neither do I think that a French forum scan gives you a proper impression of what "the French" think about "the English".
Especially they do hate english (AFAIK; but my dog agrees.).
May be the French themselves should be left to judge that, not your dog? Considering the number of French living in Britain I have my doubts that your statement still stands up to close scrutiny.
Oh, and by the way, it's _E_nglish, not _e_nglish.
Content has been defined already in the bible.
Has it? Can you quote the passage for me?
If you're the one, go ahead, translate it.
Wll, maybe you are the man?
No. Because I'm lacking both time and motivation to complete such a task. And I'm not asking for an English forum to be set up either.
"old" means not of interst. - How did you decide?
Now that's a new definition I hadn't heard before. It also doesn't make any sense. If old is not of interest, why are there so many historians and museums? And why are there conservative parties, which largely aim to conserve the status quo, i.e something old?
But to answer your question, in the context I used "old" means to me staid and inflexible. Not open to new things.
Gruss,
Armin
