Hab noch in nem Forum folgenden Hinweis gefunden, weiss damit aber nichts anzufangen.
"AllowOverride AuthConfig Options"
dann nehmen wir mal den hier: http://aktuell.de.selfhtml.org/artikel/server/htaccess-faq/#a6
Und ja, genau hier vermute ich Dein Problem.
