Ich kann doch einen Editor in Perl schreiben und ihn standalone (ohne Webserver) anbieten? Auch PHP läuft meines Wissens standalone.
ja es geht aber um online Editoren, die nur auf dem client laufen, die sind unabhängig vom server code, weil alles was auf dem client ankommt ist html javascript (java, vbscript, etc etc). deswegen braucht doch der editor nicht auf einer serverseitigen sprache aufzubauen.
als beispiel der verlinkte "Spaw Editor". Würde ich jetzt mit ruby arbeiten wollen, hätte ich gelitten. nehme ich HTMLArea (den es übrigens nicht mehr gibt), so ist die servergeschichte völlig irrelevant.
