Hallo Martin.
Ich habe aber vor Jahren mal was gelesen, dass bei den NT-basierten Systemen der Zugriff auf Partitionen auch über eine Variante von UNC-Pfaden möglich sei.
Vielleicht das, was unter „HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceClasses“ zu finden ist?
