Bug oder Denkfehler (bei RegEx test())

Vielleicht ist es ja doch interessant:
Folgende Browser handhaben es wie folgt:
Opera: 1x Ausführung (test() richtig)
IE7: 2x Ausführung (test() 2x richtig)
FF2: 2x Ausführung (test() 1 x richtig, 1 x falsch)
NS8: 1x Ausführung (test() richtig)
(unter OSX und Linux konnte ich es noch nicht probieren)
