Auch wenn die meisten Browser das wohl tolerieren, solltest du nicht den Wert an location zuweisen (womit du eigentlich das Objekt ueberschreiben wuerdest, aber wie gesagt die Browser ...) - sondern an die Eigenschaft location.href.
