Option Value mit .gif nicht erlaubt?

Om nah hoo pez nyeetz, hawkmaster!

Wenn ich bei mir den value anstatt "deutschland" und "irland" nach "deutschland.gif" und "irland.gif" ändere, wird kein Bild mehr in der SelectBox angezeigt.

Gibt es hier eine Einschränkung wie der value auszusehen hat?
