Bei dem Artikel irritieren mich die Beispiele: Sowohl in <header> als auch in <article> wird eine <h1> Überschrift verwendet.
Das Beispiel ist schlecht.
Soll man das <h1> im Header weglassen
Ja. „Herzlich Willkommen!“ ist nicht die Hauptüberschrift. (Und überhaupt zweifelhaft.)
h1 sollte die Hauptüberschrift der jeweiligen Seite sein; nicht die Kennung der Website.
