Wenn alle Welt ein Zahnrad als Icon für Einstellungen verwendet, sollte man erwarten, das JSFiddle sich auch daran hält.
Erwartungskonformität ist in ISO 9241, Teil 110: Interaktionsprinzipien festgeschrieben; das hat nichts mit persönlichen Vorlieben zu tun.
