das steht in der Hilfe zum history-Objekt vom IE: "For security reasons, the history object does not expose the actual URLs in the browser history."
Nimm ein Cookie wenn dir das mit dem Begrüßungstext so wichtig ist, das du bereit bist User zu vergraulen.
