Positions-Stylesheet vom IExplorer nicht umgesetzt

Warum wird folgendes stylesheet

body { position:absolute; align:center; width:900px; height:600px; }
</style>

von Netscape Communicator perfekt umgesetzt, nicht aber vom Internet Explorer (Vers. 6)?
