BMP vs. JPG

hi,

Tritt beim konvertieren von Bmp zu Jpeg ein Informationsverlust auf? Ich meine vorallem im Sinne der Bildqualität, bei max. Qualitätsstufe der Jpeg.

das kommt drauf an, "wie man's macht".

kurze recherche ergab, dass es im JPEG-standard sowohl die möglichkeit gibt, mit einem verlustfreien, als auch einem verlustbehafteten algorithmus zu komprimieren.
