Hmhh, wann taucht ein <li> innerhalb <li> auf?
Obiger Selektor sagt nicht, dass das zu selektierende li-Element *direkt* innerhalb eines li-Elementes auftauchen musst.
Dann ist mein "Wissensstand" falsch. Was impliziert er dann?
Er sagt: selektiere ein li-Element welches sich, beliebig verschachtelt, in einem li-Element befindet.

<li id="foo">
<ul>
<li id="bar"></li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
Hier befindet sich also li#bar innerhalb von li#foo, obiger Selektor würde also li#bar selektieren. Dass sich noch ein ul-Element dazwischen befindet, spielt hier keine Rolle.
