DirectoryIndex funktioniert nicht zusammen mit Zugriffsschutz

.htaccess sieht so aus:

Set handler.php as index file

DirectoryIndex handler.php

Deny access to all files by default

Order Allow,Deny

Allow access access only for handler.php

<Files handler.php>
Allow from all
</Files>

Ich verstehe das Problem nicht. Wozu brauchts ein Deny für alle anderen Dateien?
