SELFHTML widerspricht nicht dem W3C sondern w3schools, denn deren Aussage ist falsch.

Das W3C sagt für background
Value:   [<'background-color'> || <'background-image'> || <'background-repeat'> || <'background-attachment'> || <'background-position'>] | inherit
Und || entspricht: A double bar (||) separates two or more options: one or more of them must occur, in any order.
