Habe ich gerade versucht (Edgium). Ich kann light/dark mode umschalten, wenn color-scheme auf light dark gesetzt ist. Ich kann auch ein Theme auswählen, aber das wirkt sich nicht auf den Dokumentinhalt aus.
In Edge: Einstellungen > Barrierefreiheit > Seitenfarben
Für Firefox hat @Matthias Scharwies schon die Stelle gezeigt.
