Ich wollte nur den Befehl zeigen.
Es gibt in HTML keine „Befehle“. Du meinst das object-Element. Was hier nicht gezeigt werden muss, da es ja das audio-Element gibt.
mp3 ist mir bekannt. Ich vervorzuge WAV in CD-Qualität.
Das kannst du ja gerne tun. Lokal auf deinem System. Da kannst du WAV-Dateien hören.
Fürs Web sind WAV-Dateien untauglich, weil unkomprimiert.
MP3 ist bei annähernd gleicher Klangqualität nur etwa ein Viertel bis ein Sechstel so groß. Deshalb bevorzugen die Nutzer deiner Website MP3 – oder, wie @klawischnigg schon sagte, ein anderes komprimiertes Audio-Format.
