Hallo, zusammen!
Dieses nachgerade fabelhafte Rezept für einen Fruit Cake, das ein Freund von mir auf einer kanadischen Squaredance-Seite fand, will ich euch nicht vorenthalten:
Recipe for Fruit Cake
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
4 large eggs
2 cups of dried fruit
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
the juice squuesed from one lemon
1 gallon of whiskey
Sample the whiskey to be sure it is the finest quality. Get a large 6
to 8 litre bowl from the cupboard. Check the whiskey again just to be
sure of the quality. Pour one level cup and drink it. Repeat.
Turn on the electric mixer, beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy
bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar and beat again. Make sure the whiskey
is still OK.
Cry anover tup. Turn off mixer. Break two eggs and add to the bowl.
Chuck in a cup of dried fruit. Mix on the turner.
If the dried fruit gets stchuk in the beaters, pry loose with a drewscriver. Sample the whiskey again to check for tonsisticity! Next,
shift two cups of salt, or soda, or something - who cares? Check the
whiskey.
Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts and add one tablespoon
of sugar - or something - whatever is left on the counter. Check the
whiskey.
Grease the oven, turn the cake to 350 degrees. Don't forget to beat
off the turner. Toss the bowl out the window. Check the whiskey again.
Go to bed.
Ja, das ist dann wohl auch nötig....
Prost und
File Griese
