du kannst einem <a>-tag soweit ich weiss keinen padding zuweisen!
Wieso sollte man das nicht können?

Wieso sollte das falsch sein? Selbst _wenn_ padding für a keine Auswirkungen hätte, wäre diese Angabe kein Fehler.
