.myGroup {width: 10em;}
.myGroup h4 {width: 5em; float: left;}
.myGroup ul {width: 5em; float: right;}

Das sollte eigentlich funktionieren.

Aber nur, wenn sämtliche linken und rechten paddings, borders und margins sowohl von 'h4' als auch von 'ul' die Breite 0 haben.
