Außer im IE6, der will trotzdem noch Kästen um die Radios und Checkbuttons machen. Aber das kann ich im Zweifel wirklich verschmerzen.
Und wenn es denn doch sein müßte, könnte man per Javascript nur für IE <7 alle Referenzen auf Input-Elemente einsammeln, in einer Schleife den Wert von "type" auslesen und für die entsprechend passenden Typen eine Klasse setzen bzw. anhängen, die man dann im CSS per Star-Hack entsprechend anspricht. Oder so ähnlich.
