Guten Abend,

bis es ein letztes Mal zum Weihnachtsmarkt geht, hier noch Auszüge einer anonym zugesandten Mail an das Projekt:

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Contact the website owners and tell them about the issue you have with Pale Moon visiting their site, and ask them to support your free choice of browser to visit them.
Especially in the case of sites simply refusing to serve you, this can be considered a form of software discrimination.

Die Liste an vermeintlichen Mängeln, bzw. in Palemoon nicht unterstützten Features ist lang:

It doesn't like grid containing var; here's a userstyle to fix it (along with the missing logo, due to unsupported aspect-ratio).

Alternatively, here's a Modify HTTP Response filter, which also fixes colors (unsupported light-dark, assumes light) and the bottom navigation bar (assuming a minimum width of 42em; unsupported @container).

It doesn't fix the list links (unsupported :has) nor the paragraph chain icon (svg doesn't support style).

Ich bin etwas ratlos, @Der Martin hatte auch mal mit Palemoon experimentiert und dann konstatiert, dass er bei unseren CSS-Diskussionen außen vor sei.

Einerseits sollten wir alle gängigen Browser unterstützen, andererseits ist Palemoon als nichtkommerzielles Projekt trotz geringer Nutzerzahlen^[1] unsere Aufmerksamkeit wert. Was meint ihr?

@Rolf B @Julius und ich werden das beim nächsten Vorstandstreffen (05.01.26) mal ansprechen und wären froh, wenn wir da Argumente haben.
