Eigentlich sollte man zwei identische Systeme haben, damit man immer eines schrotten kann.
Naja, nur wenn man an der Hardware dreht. Bei Software reicht auch ein gutes (sprich: aktuelles und verifiziertes) Backup.
Aber prinzipiell hast Du recht. Und in der professionellen Praxis hat man ohnehin ein Produktivsystem, mind. ein Entwicklungssystem und mind. ein Testsystem zum Zerschießen.
